I'm going silent

Everyone has heard of the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back and that everyone reaches a limit, and consequently, I have in fact reached mine. I have decided it would be better for me not to write in anger or error than to continue to write in my current frame of mind.

As has been expressed in many posts and by the name of this site, I support the Traditional Latin Mass and stand against the what I believe forms that undermine the church and attack the laity and promote heresy. Yet, I continue to see a Church that is filled with such horrible things and which relegates defenders of the faith or traditional folk to side. The examples of Fr. Rodriguez and Fr. Guarnizo are just but a few modern examples, but take into consideration examples like the upcoming retreat at John’s Abbey Guesthouse in Collegeville, MN, as shown on Rorate Caeli which is promoting idea contrary to denying one's self to get closer to Christ. (Mind you it was the Rule of St. Benedict and that way Work and Prayer, offering all to God and denying myself which help to bring me back to the Church, and here a Benedictine house is hosting such nonsense!)

There too many incidents of heresy to count, yet members which promote these incidents or doctrines remain within Holy Mother Church. There is essentially little to no penalties for them, nor is there any rooting out to prevent the corruption of souls which they allow to occur. Traditionalists must ascribe to a doctrinal preamble...Modernists...they do not, any longer, have to subscribe to the Oath Against Modernism. Priests speak with impunity undermining the sacredness of the human person, promoting contraception, diluting the sacred mysteries of Christ to their own ends, and yet they remain. Even the current state in the US with the HHS mandate, it may be seen that Catholic front is divided, and this is because the Church has stood strong on her teachings on human sexuality for the last 40 years. She has allowed the smoke of Satan to creep into her institutions by compromising with the secular world and now we are paying the price where we see statistic that point to a majority of the Catholics using contraception. Is it any wonder? Now the fight is about religious freedom? The fight has always been about human dignity because we are made in the image and likeness of God! Our fists should have been up like this long ago!

It is for these reasons (and many more) that I am going to stop writing and devote myself more devoutly to prayer, and will pray for myself and for Holy Mother Church, and for many others. I see no point in writing, as my words are the rantings of lay person and have very little effect and will at this point of time only bring me to the occasion of anger. I know that my prayers on the other hand will invoke the Communion of Saints and will beseech the Lord of Mercy. Only this will truly make the difference, and it is with that thought I ask all who read this to pray too.

For those who have read this blog, I hope you have often found it interesting and found what you looked for. It has been an interesting 3 years.

God bless you.

Pope Benedict XVI’s objective, factual error in Light of the World (Ignatius) p.107 is contributing to widespread liberalism and dissent in the Catholic Church. Many Catholics have just accepted the assumption that those saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are defacto, explicit exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and to Ad Gentes 7,Vatican Council II.-Lionel Andrades

There could soon be an 'ecclesial rupture' because the Vatican does not want to say that there can be two interpretations of Vatican Council II.

Greetings,

While I do understand your position, and do believe that an attitude of liberalism has indeed been embraced by many since the Second Vatican Council, I do not concur with our critique of Pope Benedict XVI and his lack of need for conversion for the Jews. While there may have been a softening up of the language, as not calling Jews "perfidious", there is still indeed language praying for there conversion in the celebration of the Latin Liturgy in the post conciliar church, as was the case on Good Friday:
Oremus et pro Judei: ut Deus et Dominus noster illuminet corda eorum; ut agnoscant Jesum Christum salvatorem Dominum hominum.
Oremus
Flectamus genua.
Levate.
Onmnipotens sempiterne Deus, qui vis ut omnes homines salvi fiant et ad agnitionem veritatis veniant, conceded propitius ut plenitudine gentium in Ecclesiam Tuam intrante omnis Israel salvus fiat. Per Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen.

Admittedly, there are a number of people who avoid mission work and evangelization by using over emphasing invincible ignorance; however, I have not taken the effort of the current pontiff to as such, nor new evangelization that is taking place, and part of this effort, in my opinion, has been the the reintroduction and promotion of the Traditional Latin Mass, which had been erroneously prohibited/trampled upon/restricted by others, and it is my sincere hope that the Holy Father's effort will produce fruit and that reconciliation can be achieved between the Society of Saint Pius X and Rome which would benefit many post conciliar Catholics and allow them to gain catechesis more in keeping with tradition and the deep vein of the Church.
